Office of First-generation Students hosts NASPA webinar as part of National First-generation Student Celebration
In collaboration with NASPA's Center for First-generation Student Success, K-State's Office of First-generation Students will host a webinar as part of the National First-generation Student Celebration: “Virtual First-Generation College Celebration" from 1-2:30 p.m. CST Friday, Nov. 6.
The celebration features opening remarks from Maureen Hoyler, president of the Council for Opportunity in Education, and Sarah E. Whitley, assistant vice president of the Center for First-generation Student Success. Hear a panel discussion about the history of the first-generation student definition, utilizing an asset-based lens.
