Mothers, daughters and more set the scene for Ebony Theatre's presentation of 'Jar the Floor'

Kansas State University's Ebony Theatre will present the play "Jar the Floor," written by Cheryl L. West, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28-March 2 and a 2:30 p.m. matinee Sunday, March 3, all in East Stadium's Purple Masque Theatre.
A heartwarming dramatic comedy, "Jar the Floor" features a quartet of black women spanning four generations. The four, plus the white female friend of the youngest, come together to celebrate the matriarch's 90th birthday. It's a wild party and a glance at the exhilarating challenge of growing old amidst the exasperating trials of growing up.
Tickets are $8 for the general public, seniors and military, and $5 for students. They can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by calling 785-532-6428. Tickets may also be purchased online at http://www.k-state.edu/theatre/.
"Jar the Floor" is directed by Libby Uthoff, master's student in theatre, Manhattan, with costume design costume design by Marci Maullar, associate professor of theatre.
