Education Abroad is one of the units of the Office of International Programs supporting the internationalization efforts at Kansas State University. The Education Abroad office provides effective administrative oversight for all education abroad opportunities, guides and prepares students for meaningful international experiences, collaborates with the campus community to develop quality education abroad, and maintains and enhances strategic partnerships.
In response to COVID-19, Education Abroad moved many of its services to an online format, including advising, pre-departure orientation and promotion of programs. While Education Abroad was significantly impacted by COVID-19 with spring 2020 programs suspended, and travel abroad summer 2020, fall 2020 and spring 2021 programs canceled, the staff continues to work with K-State students and faculty to plan for future programs as interest in abroad experiences remains strong among students and faculty. Education Abroad will continue to offer many services virtually to increase student accessibility to Education Abroad's services in a post-COVID-19 world. Virtual education abroad opportunities are available.
All of the Education Abroad staff is available via email. Students can contact their Education Abroad advisor directly, or email the office account at overseas@k-state.edu.
