K-State Student Union announces layoffs
Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Due to ongoing revenue shortfalls related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the K-State Student Union will lay off four employees, effective Dec. 31. Reduced demand for services has resulted in significant revenue losses in the current fiscal year.
"This has been a difficult year for the Union and our employees," said Corey Williamson, executive director. "We remain committed to providing a high level of service to the university community and look forward to a time when we can serve even more students."
As a 501(c) corporation, the K-State Student Union's finances are separate from the university.
