Kansas Farm Bureau recognizes KCARE watershed specialist
The Kansas Farm Bureau has named Herschel George as a Friend of Agriculture at its 102nd annual meeting in Manhattan this month.
George has been a leader in the agriculture field for 50 years and, despite retiring from K-State Research and Extension in 2019, continues to work with producers and fellow extension specialists in Kansas. As a member of the KCARE watershed specialist team, George educates and assists producers with strategies to improve water quality and water quantity within their operations.
KFB's Friends of Agriculture awards are presented annually to those individuals from around the state who have made significant contributions to both the Kansas Farm Bureau and agriculture. In 2020, KFB recognized 13 people with this award.
