Sociology professor presents at international conference on global commodity chains
Nadia Shapkina, assistant professor of sociology, was invited to speak at an international conference, “Gendered Commodity Chains: Bringing Households and Women into Global Commodity Chain Analysis,” at the University of Binghamton in New York, Oct. 14-15. Her presentation was titled “Transnational Commodity Chains in the Global Sex Trade.”
