Art and innovation: K-State Center for Principled Business seeking student art pieces
Calling all K-State student artists and photographers! The K-State Center for Principled Business is searching for original artwork that demonstrates innovation, action and entrepreneurial spirit.
We are searching for submissions that exemplify the center's vision "to be the premier institution for the study of effective practices that foster business innovation and growth for the benefit of society." Painted pieces, drawings, prints and photographs are accepted, including pieces using various materials such as metal, wood, stained glass and more.
Each artist from whom a work is acquired will receive a $500 scholarship for the spring 2021 semester and will retain the copyright for their work. The selected pieces will be displayed in the center's office suite area for years to come, gaining exposure from students, staff, alumni and friends.
All submissions must be original work by a current Kansas State University student in good academic standing. Students may submit up to five images to be reviewed by a panel of judges. Artists should provide a short statement explaining how their submission relates to the center's vision.
View additional information and the file dropbox. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21. For additional information, contact Marcia Hornung at hornung@k-state.edu or by visiting the center's website.
