Nominate faculty, staff and graduate students for Division of Student Life awards
The Student Life Staff Development and Engagement Committee is accepting nominations for eight student life awards. Awardees will be recognized during a ceremony planned for April 27.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit a nomination for the following awards:
- The Dr. Susan Ariola Bosco Putting Students First Award for Faculty and Staff recognizes one full-time staff member in the Division of Student Life and one full-time faculty member who has had a major impact on student success at Kansas State University.
- The Outstanding Graduate Student Staff Member Award recognizes one full-time Division of Student Life graduate student who has had exemplary performance in their role.
- The Outstanding Unclassified New Professional Award recognizes one full-time Division of Student Life professional who has had exemplary performance in their role and has been employed in the division for a minimum of one year but no more than four years.
- The Outstanding Unclassified Professional Award recognizes one full-time Division of Student Life professional who has had exemplary performance in their role and has been employed in the division for a minimum of five years.
- Care Award: Recognizing an individual or team who demonstrated the core value Care as defined by the statement: Our students come first. The recipient(s) of this award should demonstrate seeing, hearing, and serving the whole student and maximizing their potential to graduate, enter the workforce, and grow as a compassionate, ethical and engaged member of society.
- Community Award: Recognizing an individual or team who demonstrated the core value Community as defined by the statement: We stand on the foundation of our K-State community. The recipient(s) of this award should demonstrate helping students respect, understand, appreciate and connect with classmates, faculty and staff by embracing human differences and encouraging engagement.
- Collaboration Award: Recognizing an individual or team who demonstrated the core value Collaboration as defined by the statement: We thrive in and contribute to larger initiatives and communities. The recipient(s) of this award should demonstrate collaboration with the K-State community, alumni and/or global partners that supports K-State’s goal of becoming a premier, student-centered public research university.
