Submitted by Melissa Harvey

The Natural Resources Professional Focus Team and KCARE have announced the third theme of their Virtual Training Series, titled "Water Resource Management and Irrigation in Kansas." The first session, which will focus on sustainable management of water resources in Kansas, is on March 24, from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Speakers from Groundwater Management Districts, the Department of Agriculture, the Kansas Water Office and the Kansas Geologic Survey will give live presentations, followed by a Q&A session for participants.

The session will be conducted via zoom. Instructions on how to log in will be made available on the KCARE Training Events Website. Interested participants are asked to preregister, using this link.

This series of five workshops will also include sessions on understanding irrigation systems and new technologies (March 25), climate and weather resources to support water decisions (March 30), innovative water management technologies (March 31) and irrigating lawns and urban water conservation (April 8).
