Join the Poetry as Resilience Art and Healing Workshop on April 28

Submitted by Debra J. Bolton

Our U.S. Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo (Mvskoke) Nation, tells us, "There is nowhere else I want to be but here. I lean into the rhythm of your heart to see where it will take us."

Let us explore where the rhythm of our hearts take us to celebrate the final days of April as National Poetry Month. To observe poetry month and celebrate words that express who we are, Adventure Out, Indigenous Faculty and Staff Alliance, and Intercultural Learning and Academic Success present Poetry as Resilience Art from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28.

Bring poetry or short prose by your favorite author, or bring your original work that explores identity, personal and shared experiences, resistance and resilience. You might take this opportunity to share with others in this interactive dialogue.

Please register online. Once you register, you will receive the Zoom link for participation.
