Global Campus celebrates alongside 456 online graduates
A record 456 students will graduate from online programs offered through Global Campus at this weekend's spring commencement ceremonies, representing 41 different states, Washington, D.C., and several international locations.
The diverse group also represents students from seven of K-State's academic colleges and 40 different degree programs, spanning bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates.
"I am proud to be the first to welcome this record-setting number of graduates into the K-State family of alumni," said Karen Pedersen, dean of Global Campus. "We appreciate their enduring spirit in balancing their work, family and community commitments along with their educational endeavors. Their commitment to lifelong learning will bring them great success in the future."
As part of the celebration for this group of graduates, many of whom can't make the trip to the Manhattan campus for in-person commencement, Global Campus offers the chance to participate in virtual commencement, with graduate-submitted messages and photos as well as a virtual reception for friends and family to leave notes of congratulations and encouragement.
