Writing Center online tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students starts for summer
As summer classes begin, the English department's Writing Center offers online writing tutoring in two forms:
- Asynchronous eTutoring Sessions
The Writing Center's "Get Written Feedback" schedule allows student writers to submit their writing and receive written feedback from a writing consultant within 48 hours. Sessions are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so that feedback can be delivered to writers within the school week. Consultants will respond to issues of clarity, organization, and development of content.
- Synchronous Online Video Sessions
The center's "Live Video Tutoring" schedule allows student writers with the technology to support video conferencing (computer with camera and speaker/microphone) to upload their document and meet with a writing consultant online in a 30-45 minute video chat.
Summer tutoring sessions run from Monday, May 24, and until Thursday, July 29.
All writing tutoring sessions are by appointment and can be scheduled through the Writing Center website.
Additional information for instructors about virtual writing support for students, including the Writing Center's Canvas module, is available from the English department blog.
The Writing Center is sponsored by the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Student Governing Association through Student-Centered Tuition Enhancement funding.
