Search committee appointed for Morrison family associate vice president for student well-being position

A search committee appointed by Thomas Lane, vice president for student life, has begun a national search for Kansas State University's first Morrison family associate vice president for student well-being.

The Morrison family associate vice president for student well-being provides strategic leadership for initiatives that enhance the K-State student experience by promoting well-being. The position oversees and provides leadership for a dynamic portfolio encompassing Lafene Health Center, Recreational Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Cats' Cupboard, Powercat Financial, Student Access Center and the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being. This role collaborates with the Division of Student Life and other university partners to develop and deliver programs and services to enhance the university student body's academic, social, emotional and overall success.

The position promotes holistic student well-being, ensuring the unit's mission, vision and values align to divisional and institutional priorities. In addition, the Morrison family associate vice president for student well-being serves as a university advocate championing well-being as a critical component of social, academic and intellectual life on campus and promoting a university culture of overall health and wellness. A key responsibility for this position is to cultivate a strategic vision for the Morrison Family Center for Student Well-being group and lead the implementation of strategies to achieve that vision in partnership with campus constituencies.
