Geography doctoral candidate awarded National Science Foundation grant
Bartosz Grudzinski, geography doctoral candidate, has been awarded a doctoral dissertation research grant from the National Science Foundation to support his research on the influence of bison grazing on stream geomorphology in tallgrass prairie watersheds.
The research is the first investigation of the impact of bison grazing on stream geomorphology and will help to inform the conservation, restoration and management of grassland headwater streams. Grudzinski is pursuing his doctoral degree with the direction of Melinda Daniels, associate professor of geography at K-State.
