Advisor Forum announces July Charlie Award
Submitted by Katelin Christianer-Donkers
The K-State Advisor Forum has selected Lindsay Larson, academic advisor in food, nutrition, dietetics and health, as recipient of the July Charlie Award.
Larson was nominated by a colleague for this award because of her "tremendous work and effort to help recruit and retain students in the on-campus dietetics programs."
Larson is praised for her ability to almost double her original workload in just one year, and "did so with her typical selflessness and compassion. The department has been one of the most successful in recruitment due to fantastic advisors, like Mrs. Larson."
Larson's students are lucky to have her as she has a great ability to address the needs of the numerous incoming students.
The Advisor Forum thanks Larson for her work on advising and recruiting students and congratulates her on this award.
As a reminder, to nominate someone for the Charlie Award, fill out the short online form. Once your nomination is complete, it will remain an active nomination for one full academic year. Nominations can be completed at any time and can be submitted by anyone on campus. One award will be given out at the beginning of each month. The Advisor Forum Committee will make the decision and deliver awards.
