Food safety culture and fewer sick people focus of Alberta Food Processors Association talks
Douglas Powell, a professor of food safety in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology, spoke with the Alberta Food Processors Association at its annual meeting in Calgary on March 20. His talk was delivered by video and was about food safety culture, audits, public perception and how to make fewer people sick and save your business.
Powell’s former doctoral student Ben Chapman of North Carolina State University and a K-State adjunct professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology also spoke on building an external and internal food safety culture and measuring it. Chapman's talk was delivered in person.
