Art and Inspiration: Office of Student Success seeks student art for chance to win $500 scholarships
Calling all current K-State student artists and photographers. The Office of Student Success is hosting an art contest and looking for original artwork from students surrounding the theme of "well-being."
We are looking for inspirational pieces that reflect well-being through painting, drawings, print photographs or other artwork that can be displayed on a wall. Dimensions are not to exceed 11 feet width by 4.5 feet height.
The selected pieces will be displayed in the Student Success Seminar Room, 3 Holton Hall, to inspire current students, faculty and staff; winners will receive a $500 scholarship for the fall 2021 semester.
If artists want to view the space before submitting their work, please email Rebeca Paz at rpaz@k-state.edu. The winners' artwork will become property of the Office of Student Success with credits to the artist.
Students may submit up to five pieces for the contest to be reviewed by a group of judges. Applications should provide a short statement explaining how their art relates to wellbeing or the story behind the piece(s).
Please submit an image of your art piece(s) through the Qualtrics form by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11. Winners will be announced by Nov. 8 and recognized during finals week.
