Update on federal government vaccine requirement
Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing
On Sept. 9, President Biden announced new vaccine requirements and recommendations that could impact millions of individuals in the United States. The new requirements apply to employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's jurisdiction with 100+ employees, health care workers, federal employees, federal contractors and others. The university continues to evaluate whether these new requirements apply to the university.
The federal government is expected to release additional guidance in the next few weeks. Until it is determined whether the requirement applies to K-State, we strongly encourage faculty, staff and students to get vaccinated. Any future policy changes will be announced in K-State Today and published on the K-State COVID-19 website.
