Festival of Lights celebration Nov. 7

The Indian Students Association, a registered independent student organization, will host Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Frith Community Center, 2002 Tunstall Circle in Manhattan. A potluck dinner will follow.
Diwali is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil. Traditionally, the celebration involves fireworks but we are requesting participants to light clay/LED/tealight lamps to represent the significance of Diwali.
On this important and auspicious day, the association will join with the Kansas Beats The Virus and Lafene Health Center to help eradicate COVID-19 pandemic by spreading awareness about COVID-19 vaccination and giving COVID-19 protection kits to all the participants.
