Pentz publishes new chapter in book 'Diverse Learning in 2020 and Beyond'
Julie L. Pentz, professor of dance, along with 17 other scholars, contributed to the new book, "Diverse Learning in 2020 and Beyond."
This volume brings together articles and narratives exclusively written to encourage and assist a variety of educational professionals in the disciplines of preschool education, elementary education, higher education, arts, teacher development and leadership. It also touches on areas of multicultural studies in the humanities and the social sciences. The material and information provided serve as an excellent resource for university coursework and as a supplemental reading tool for journal reviews, response reports and additional group work and online course assignments. This text will be of particular interest to educators, principals, school administrators, speech pathologists, psychologists, students, teachers and other college and university personnel within a variety of diverse disciplines.
Pentz closes the book with her chapter, "Educational Learning in the Art of Dance Tapping to Togetherness Across Populations: Using Tap Dance to Bring Diverse Populations Together through a Research-based
Interdisciplinary Program." The chapter features the many partnerships and collaborations that are held with the Tap To Togetherness Across Populations program and its literacy and physical literacy initiatives.
