Nearly 180 graduate students recognized at annual reception
The Graduate Student Council hosted the annual Graduate Student Awards and Recognition Reception on April 19 to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of K-State graduate students from the past year. The reception recognized nearly 180 students representing approximately 65 academic programs, including several students studying at K-State’s Olathe and Global campuses.
The reception served to recognize graduate students for the following awards, accomplishments and contributions:
- Alvin and RosaLee Sarachek Predoctoral Honors Fellowship and Travel Awards in Molecular Biology.
- University Distinguished Professors Graduate Student Award recipients.
- Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Grant recipients.
- Graduate Student Council Awards for Graduate Student Teaching Excellence.
- Three-Minute Thesis Award winners.
- K-State Alumni Association Graduate Student Award recipients.
- Research and the State winners.
- Capitol Graduate Research Summit winners.
- K-State Graduate Research, Arts, and Discovery Forum winners.
- Graduate Student Council Professional Development Certificate recipients.
- Graduate Student Council leaders.
- Graduate Student Ambassadors.
- Selected recognitions from colleges - Each academic college was invited to recognize a select number of graduate students for other notable accomplishments and one graduate faculty member who has made significant contributions to graduate education.
