Goins publishes feature article on legendary jazz guitarist
Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, published an in-depth article on the legendary Indiana jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery in the July issue of Jazz Guitar Life, a highly popular online jazz guitar journal that features the most prominent artists in the world.
Journal editor Lyle Robinson published the Goins article as Part 1 of a two-part series on the acclaimed musician Montgomery, who's seminal 1965 album "Smokin' At The Half Note" became one of the most influential and best-recordings of the artist's prolific career on the Verve Record label. Goins chronicles the evolution of the album and provides detailed analysis on the content of the recording.
Goins has regularly submitted a wide variety of pieces, including exclusive jazz artist profiles, CD reviews, podcast interviews and feature articles related to jazz recordings on vinyl.
