Faculty training: Disability Accommodations for Students at K-State
Submitted by Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson
As a community that supports students and believes in equitable access, it is important that we create an accessible environment and coursework.
Join staff from the Student Access Center, Office of Institutional Equity and Office of General Counsel for a training session on implementing accommodations for students with disabilities from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15. This will be a virtual presentation and discussion over Zoom.
The presentation is developed primarily for teaching faculty, instructors and graduate teaching assistants; however, advisors or other service providers on campus may also find this information helpful. The first hour will include information about why accommodations are important on our campuses and how to implement accommodations in the classroom. The last half hour will be open for questions and conversations.
To register for this session, you can either sign up through HRIS self-service or send an email to Megan Eakin at learning-develop-hr@k-state.edu. When sending an email, please include your name, employee ID, and the course title, Disability Accommodations for Students at K-State.
