Lafene CAPS presents 'Allyship and Antiracism' professional development event today
Submitted by Teaching and Learning Center
Lafene Counseling and Psychological Services, or CAPS, will present "Allyship and Antiracism" from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, on Zoom as part of the Teaching and Learning Center's professional development series. No registration is required for this event.
We are excited to share the official launch of the "Allyship and Antiracism" workshop series for fall 2022, brought through the collaboration between Lafene CAPS and the Teaching and Learning Center. Kodee Walls, Vanessa Fox, Cristine Glendening and Marcos Mendez will preview and promote the workshops later in the semester. The workshop series will include three one-hour small group discussions facilitated by members of the Diversity Workgroup at Lafene CAPS. The series will focus on the engagement of self-exploration and growth to expand an antiracist community at K-State. Instrumental to this work are self-reflection and racial healing.
If you're interested in learning more about the "Allyship and Antiracism" workshop series, please attend the Sept. 7 presentation, or register online.
