College of Business offers new supply chain management certificate
The K-State College of Business is now offering a supply chain management certificate for students to explore and pursue career choices in logistics and supply chain management.
Considering the growing attention that supply chain management has received in both business and government organizations in recent times, the certificate will benefit students by developing a solid background in processes related to the flow of material and information from supplier to customer and will enhance career opportunities for students in other disciplines.
The supply chain management certificate consists of 15 credit hours, including four core courses and one elective. The core courses that cover key supply chain processes: Introduction to Operations and Supply Chain Management, MANGT 421; Transportation and Warehouse Management, MANGT 561; Supply Chain Planning and Control, MANGT 660; and Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Design, MANGT 662.
Admission is open to any K-State student pursuing a graduate or an undergraduate degree in good standing. Students must achieve a cumulative 2.5 GPA on all courses taken to fulfill the requirements of the certificate program. Questions about the new program may be directed to turnley@k-state.edu.
