Spring publications from K-State Libraries faculty
Several of K-State Libraries' faculty have collaborated on publications and presentations in a variety of venues this spring. Highlights include the following.
Ellen Urton, associate professor in undergraduate and community services, attended the 29th annual National Conference on the Beginning Design Student, NCBDS, at Temple University's Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pa., April 11-13. Urton presented "Poetic Image: Observation and Media Explorations," which was co-authored with Jon Hunt, assistant professor in landscape architecture and regional and community planning.
Tara Coleman, associate professor, Web services librarian; and Joelle Pitts, assistant professor, instructional design librarian; contributed "The right tools for the job: Using analytics to drive design" to Web analytics strategies for information professionals Tabatha Farney and Nina McHale, editors.
Debbie Madsen, professor, licensing and metadata librarian; and Jenny Oleen, assistant professor, scholarly communications librarian; authored "Staffing and Workflow of a Maturing Institutional Repository" for the Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication, volume 1, issue 3.
