K-State Libraries receives 2023 Leadership Transformation Grant
K-State Libraries has been selected for a 2023 Leadership Transformation Grant.
Including the K-State Libraries, the Kansas Leadership Center selected 87 organizations across Kansas as Leadership Transformation Grant partners. The grants will help the partner organizations create a culture that embraces change, tackles problems and seizes opportunities.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for K-State Libraries faculty and staff to build leadership skills," said Dean of Libraries Joe Mocnik. "The center's support will provide foundational elements for strategic exercises and empower us to seek creative solutions that will propel the Libraries to new heights."
Organizations that receive Leadership Transformation Grants will establish a core team to take on the responsibilities of the grant. Roberta Maldonado Franzen, director of people and culture, is excited to lead this effort in collaboration with Thomas Bell, associate professor and academic services librarian, and Colleen Rencher, budget/fiscal coordinator.
"This is an opportunity to strengthen the leadership capacity within our organization and we are grateful to partner with the Kansas Leadership Center," Maldonado Franzen said.
K-State Libraries will have one year to participate in dynamic program experiences and utilize Kansas Leadership Center resources and consultation.
