New hire at the Johnson Cancer Research Center

Submitted by Katy Heger

The Johnson Cancer Research Center has welcomed a new team member, Shanna Mittie, as the new assistant to the director.

Mittie is a native of the area. She earned a doctorate in experimental psychology, with an emphasis in social, health and statistical psychology, from Texas Christian University.

She worked at the TCU Institute of Child Development as an associate research scientist before moving to K-State where she has been an adjunct professor and has also been a volunteer at the Johnson Cancer Research Center.

Mittie brings an abundance amount of experience, knowledge and passion, and is a cancer survivor herself. Please stop by to meet her as we are excited to welcome her aboard.
