Porath presents at international conference
Suzanne Porath, College of Education associate professor of curriculum and instruction, presented recently at the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
Porath's presentation was "My Ideal Bookshelf: Developing Teacher Candidates' Literate Identities."
Porath was also selected to participate in the International Collaborative Writing Group-Public project before the conference. Small collaborative and interdisciplinary groups focused on writing for audiences beyond the educational community to produce public scholarship of teaching of learning, or works of public scholarship informed by the scholarship of teaching of learning. Her group explored the use of podcasts for public scholarship and will produce a podcast next year.
The International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning fosters collaborative, interdisciplinary, and innovative scholarship in higher education teaching and learning around the world.
