Save the date: Vice president for communications and marketing candidate open forums

Submitted by VPCM Search Committee

The search committee announces two finalists who will interview for the vice president for communications and marketing position and invites you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Eric Bruder, former vice president of marketing and communications at the University of North Florida, will interview Wednesday, Nov. 30. The open forum will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Bluemont Room in the K-State Student Union.
  • Ben Jedd, chief marketing officer at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, will interview Thursday, Dec. 1. The open forum will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Bluemont Room in the K-State Student Union.

K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled "Leading Communications and Marketing to Advance a Next-Generation Land-Grant University." Search committee co-chair Amy Button Renz will moderate the open forums. Questions can be submitted in advance via email to Button Renz and Jay Stephens, search committee co-chair, at arenz@k-state.com or jaystephens@k-state.edu, respectively, or asked live during each open forum.

Application materials are available on the president's search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forum will be streamed live and archived on the president's search website. There will also be an online candidate feedback survey on that website. The feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two days following the candidate's open forum and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback no later than Dec. 5.
