Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Nearly 100 Kansas State University students have received scholarships to study abroad this summer or during the fall semester.
The awards include the office's Global Education Initiative scholarships and Faculty-Led scholarships, made possible by the Kansas State University Student Governing Association. Five students earned the $5,000 Presidential Scholarship for Australia, made possible by university President Kirk Schulz; while others earned scholarships sponsored by private donors through the Kansas State University Foundation.
The study abroad experiences vary in length, from short-term faculty-led trips to programs lasting up to a year. Announced previously were the 10 recipients of the university's $5,000 Goss Discovery Scholarship for international study in the fall 2013 semester.
