Recognize your advising colleagues
As the semester gets started, take a minute to think about your advising colleagues who have done a stellar job and nominate them for the Charlie Award.
Named after the former executive director of NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising, Charlie Nutt, the Charlie Award was developed to recognize advisors at K-State. Any advisor can be nominated, and the nomination can come from anyone across campus.
To make a nomination, answer one question in fewer than 3,000 characters. Or, take your idea of a nominee to others in your college or department and work together to create a paragraph detailing why your colleague should be an award recipient. You can consult the Advising Expectations website for evidence of what outstanding advising looks like.
Thank you to everyone who has nominated advisors over the last three years. Let's keep it going.
For a list of those who have been recognized previously, more information on the Charlie Award or to learn how to nominate someone, visit the Recognition page on the Office of Student Success website.
