College of Arts and Sciences welcomes new staff
The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office welcomes two new staff members.
Carmen Thurlow is the college's new executive assistant to the dean. She replaces Annette Maggio, who retired. Thurlow has worked at K-State for 17 years, last serving as the executive assistant to the dean of K-State Libraries. She has a bachelor's degree in speech therapy from the University of Puerto Rico and is working toward a master's in second language acquisition from K-State.
Thurlow can be reached at cthurlow@k-state.edu and 785-532-0342.
Marcia Locke is the college's first director of communications and marketing. Except for a recent stint at Geary County Schools USD 475, Locke has worked at K-State for 22 years — all at the Johnson Cancer Research Center, where she was the communications and outreach coordinator. She is also an alumna of the College of Arts and Sciences, with a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology and French and a minor in Spanish.
Locke can be reached at marcia@ksu.edu and 785-532-5811.
