K-State Research and Extension names summer interns
K-State Research and Extension has named 10 Kansas State University students as 2013 summer interns. The interns will assist extension professionals in planning and implementing educational programs for Kansas residents. Three students from other universities were also given internships.
Interns from K-State include:
- Hannah Anderson, agricultural education, Peabody, will work at Reno County Extension office.
- Jordan Crosson, family studies and human services, Minneapolis, will work at Riley County Extension office.
- Leanne Milleret, agricultural economics, Lawrence, will work at Leavenworth County Extension office.
- Amanda Oakley, dietetics, Wamego, will work at K-State Expanded Food Nutrition Education Program.
- Alejandra Romero, chemical engineering, Garden City, will work at Southwest Area Extension office.
- Kinzie Selke, agricultural education, Frankfort, Ind., will work at K-State department of animal sciences and industry.
- Clarissa Sents, family studies and human services, McPherson, will work at Kansas 4-H Youth Development office.
- Brooke Stamm, horticulture, Washington, will work at McPherson County Extension office.
- Katelyn Vincent, agricultural education, Fort Scott, will work at Linn County Extension office.
- Ruddy Yanez, family studies and human services and Spanish-Hispanic studies, Tribune, will work at Southwest Area Extension office.
K-State Research and Extension conducts research and offers programs, publications and newsletters focused on improving the quality of life for Kansans and others using science-based information. It has offices in all 105 Kansas counties.
