Water researchers invited to upcoming webinar for competitive grants
Water resource institutes from across the country are organizing a joint webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Thursday, March 9, focused on the newly released United States Geological Survey National Competitive Grants request for proposals.
Webinar speakers will discuss the full proposal process and funding priorities, and the event will include an opportunity for researchers to ask questions. In addition, researchers will be able to identify potential collaborators in topic-specific breakouts.
The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the National Institutes of Water Resources, released the annual request for proposals under its National Competitive Grants Program, including General Research, PFAS and Aquatic Invasive Species. Any investigator at an institution of higher learning is eligible to apply for these grants with water-related research that focuses on priorities of regional and national importance. Applications for these competitive grants must be through the Kansas Water Resources Institute. The RFP has been released with an application deadline of Thursday, April 27.
The webinar link, as well as more information about these grant opportunities, can be found on the Kansas Water Resources Institute webpage.
