Indian Students Association to host upcoming event: Sanskriti
The Indian Students Association, an independent student organization, will host the annual cultural event, Sanskriti: A Celebration of Indian Culture. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union, and all are welcome.
The event showcases Indian art and culture by bringing some of the diverse art forms to the doorsteps of the K-State community. Organizers plan to include different classical and semi-classical dance performances, including the Bharatanatyam, Odissi and Kathak, which represent the different states of India. Apart from the traditional performances, Sanskriti will also feature contemporary Bollywood and folk-dance performances, which are an integral part of everyday life in India.
The Globe Indian Restaurant will cater in the Union courtyard with diverse, spicy, authentic Indian delicacies.
The Indian Students Association invites the K-State community, including faculty, staff and students, to join for a fun-filled day with great music and diverse dance performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India. Bring your family and friends.
