CARE hosting Campus Sexual Assault Climate Survey discussion panel
In accordance with ongoing efforts to highlight Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Center for Advocacy, Response and Education, or CARE, is hosting a virtual discussion panel regarding the results of the 2021 Campus Sexual Violence Climate Survey from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25.
The survey was administered in 2021 to the scope and perceptions of sexual violence and institutional response to reports of sexual violence at K-State. View the PDF summary of the results.
The purpose of this panel discussion is to provide the campus community with the opportunity to discuss the results of the survey and to engage with the creators and administrators of the survey to discuss successes and challenges faced by K-State in continuing to recognize and address the issue of campus sexual violence. This event is open to all K-State faculty, staff, students and administrators.
To ensure the security and safety of the participants in this event, registration is required, and offices and organizations must register members individually. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link to join prior to the start of the event.
While we anticipate that the overall message of this event will be one of hope and promise, the topic of sexual and relationship violence is difficult and may be distressing. The CARE office has confidential advocates who can provide support to faculty, staff and students who may be affected. Walk-ins are accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Appointments may be scheduled via phone at 785-532-5945.
Please contact the event coordinator, Trina Knight, at tknight3289@k-state.edu, with any questions regarding the event.
