A Kansas State University junior has been selected for a scholarship from a prominent supply chain organization, Achieving Women's Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education, or AWESOME.
Brooke Younger, operations and supply chain management student, Limon, Colorado, received the Excellence in Education Scholarship from AWESOME, the supply chain's most active and prominent organization focused on advancing women's leadership.
This nationwide recognition provides financial assistance for attending the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals EDGE conference and the AWESOME Symposium, and it includes a $5,000 financial award for tuition.
AWESOME awards experiential scholarships to female students enrolled in member universities' undergraduate supply chain management programs.
"I am excited and proud of Brooke for her achievements," said M.K. Kim, associate professor of operations and supply chain management, or OSCM. "This recognition demonstrates her excellence as a student and leader and highlights the competitive curriculum of the K-State OSCM program, which produces future leaders in supply chain management.
