Sarina Maneotis, teaching assistant professor of psychological sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences and director of K-State's hybrid master's degree in psychology with an emphasis in industrial and organizational psychology, or MIOP, has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 K-State Global Campus Excellence in Online Teaching award.
This award is given to an online instructor or faculty member who has provided outstanding online teaching, course development, mentoring of students and service to distance learners who often are balancing their education with work, family and community commitments.
"The quality and effectiveness of Dr. Maneotis's online teaching methods are evident not only from traditional measures such as student evaluations but from spontaneous letters from students after the classes are done as they realize the value of their MIOP experience," said Gary Brase, professor and interim department head in psychological sciences.
Maneotis's TEVAL ratings over the last year for overall effectiveness as a teacher ranged from 4.8-5.0 on a 1-5 scale.
"The MIOP program has had a long history of serving learners at a distance," said Karen Pedersen, dean of K-State Global Campus. "Global Campus is proud to honor faculty and instructors who exemplify teaching excellence and student support in online education."
