July Local Food Virtual Town Hall will be on July 26
The K-State Research and Extension Local Food Transdisciplinary Team invites you to attend the July Local Food Virtual Town Hall at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, on Zoom. Register for the event online.
The town halls are an opportunity for people from across the state of Kansas to network, learn and share about local food system projects and resources for Kansans.
This quarter, the featured topics and speakers include:
- The impact of local food system economists in connecting producers to opportunity — Becca Jablonski, Colorado State University assistant professor and food systems economist.
- Urban and small-scale grower needs assessment results — Katie Starzec, Kansas State University assistant professor, agriculture communications and journalism.
- Resilient Food System Infrastructure program — Trace Mulligan, Kansas Department of Agriculture.
