Apply now to host a local food fellow
Do you know of a project or program related to local food systems in Kansas that needs support? The local food system includes producers, processors, distributors, retailers, consumers and food recovery efforts.
K-State Research and Extension Local Food Systems is here to support the increased capacity of Kansas local food systems by launching the Kansas Local Food Fellows Program. Applications are now being accepted for local food fellow host sites in 2024. Please consider applying and sharing the opportunity with other partners.
More information and the application link can be found on the Kansas Local Foods website.
- Fellows will be hired at $17 an hour to complete a 320-hour local food system project.
- K-State partners are encouraged to apply by Sept. 30 to host a K-State student fellow in summer 2024.
- Applications are also being accepted from local food system partners to host independent fellows in the spring and summer of 2024. Apply by Aug. 31 for spring 2024 or Nov. 30 for summer 2024 fellows. Please share these opportunities with your Kansas networks.
