Intercultural Learning and Academic Success with the LGBT Resource Center will present a SAFE Zone Introductory Professional Development Workshop at noon Thursday, Aug. 17, via Zoom. Please spread the word to others for this important workshop that begins in the fall semester.
The workshop Zoom link will be sent on the afternoon of Aug. 16. Please register online for the SAFE Zone Introductory Professional Development Workshop.
The workshop is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. If you cannot devote 90 minutes of your time to this class, please participate at another time.
Vision: As a program of K-State, SAFE Zone envisions academic and social environments where students, faculty and staff possess a sense of belonging and experience conditions in which they thrive.
SAFE Zone acknowledges the intersectionality of human diversity by educating and fostering respect for multifaceted personal identities — e.g., sexuality, gender identity, class, religion, ability status, national origin, culture, creed and others. The SAFE Zone team mobilizes campuswide and community resources to assure physical, emotional, and mental safety measures and practices.
