Make a difference with the Financial Well-being Ambassador Program
A new initiative is offering a unique opportunity for faculty members to contribute to the holistic development of our students: the Financial Well-being Ambassador, or FWA, Program.
The program is designed to empower students with essential financial skills, enabling them to make informed decisions about their personal finances and create a strong foundation for their future and ability to help fellow students on campus. We believe that faculty members play a pivotal role in shaping well-rounded individuals, and your involvement in this program can greatly impact our students' financial well-being.
Why should you get involved?
- Nurturing student success: Equipping students with financial knowledge and skills enhances their overall well-being and supports their academic success.
- Practical skill development: By participating in the FWA Program, students are equipped with practical skills that can benefit them throughout their lives.
- Campuswide impact: Your involvement contributes to a culture of financial wellness, benefiting the entire K-State community.
How can you contribute?
- Recommend students: Encourage students to apply for the FWA Program and make a difference in the lives of their peers.
- Share your insights: Offer to share your financial experiences or insights in workshops or seminars, enriching the program's educational content or request a Powercat Financial peer-led workshop.
- Support outreach: Help spread the word about the FWA Program to students who could benefit from its offerings.
