K-State Cancer Research Week presents Meet the Researcher
On Wednesday, Sept. 20, the Johnson Cancer Research Center will host its annual Meet the Researcher at Manhattan Brewing Company in conjunction with Science on Tap. From 7-9 p.m., graduate student cancer center research awardees will present their summer research projects.
The graduate students will be space throughout the brewery. Each student will have 3-5 minutes to explain their cancer research project with hands-on activities. The guests also will complete a crossword puzzle based on the students' research for the opportunity to win prizes.
The Johnson Cancer Research Center is hosting the 2023 K-State Cancer Research Week from Sept. 18-Sept. 23. The week is full of cancer research-related events to inform the public about the basic cancer research performed at K-State and fundraising events. The events will be held in the Manhattan area on campus and at local businesses around the campus.
