Robert Bailey retirement reception today
Submitted by Shannon Castleberry
The Office of the Registrar announces the retirement of Robert Bailey after 39 successful years at Kansas State University. Bailey's retirement date is Oct. 20.
Bailey will be honored with a retirement reception from 2-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Room 21 of Anderson Hall. During this time, those who wish to attend can stop by and wish him the best.
Bailey began his career in the Department of Housing and Dining after his time spent in the military. Over the years, Bailey has worked in many other areas of K-State. These include the entomology department business office, the finance department business office, Agricultural Economics Research and Extension, Facilities Central Mail, Extension — department of communications, Human Resources, and lastly, the Office of the Registrar. During his tenure, Bailey led the Office of the Registrar through upgrades to its imaging systems, troubleshooted hardware and software issues, spent countless hours maintaining catalog webpages, and assisted when needed to maintain the other systems owned by the Office of the Registrar.
Bailey is the kind of person that everyone knows, and he is always helping other colleagues with a smile.
The event is open to the campus community, and light refreshments will be provided.
