Nelson Goff conducts workshop for Down Syndrome Congress
Briana Nelson Goff, professor in the School of Family Studies and Human Services in the College of Human Ecology, conducted "The Up-Side of Down Syndrome: A Workshop for New Parents and Parents to Be" at the National Down Syndrome Congress 41st annual convention this month in Denver. Joining her were Nicole Springer and Gail Bentley from Texas Tech University, Lubbock. The session was based on their research on families who have successfully navigated this life transition and the positive outcomes parents experience in parenting a child with Down syndrome.
