Colby Community College advisor recognized with Transfer Partner Award
Kansas State University recognized the recipient of the first Transfer Partner Award, Jade Inlow of Colby Community College, on Oct. 18. Inlow serves as the transfer and advising specialist in the student support services office.
The award is designed to recognize a community college advisor, faculty, staff or administration member for their support of transfer students and advocacy for K-State.
Inlow was nominated by a member of the K-State community for her dedication to the success of transfer students and has become a strong supporter of K-State. As the recipient of this award, Inlow will receive funding to attend K-State’s 2024 Transfer Summit in Manhattan as well as a $1,000 educator choice scholarship award to be given to a Colby Community College student planning to transfer to K-State.
"Jade is an incredible resource to have at Colby Community College," Inlow's nominator said. "Every time I am there, she never fails to show kindness and comes to find me to see how I am doing. She makes sure to be informed with any updates with K-State that can help her better serve her students. Jade is very proactive to reach out when questions arise with transferring and is always looking for opportunities to partner with K-State."
The K-State Transfer Partner Award was presented as part of the National Transfer Week celebrations.
