Extension faculty member presents research at international conference
Daniel Kahl, instructor with K-State Research and Extension community development presented research at the recent Community Development Society conference in Charleston, S.C. Kahl's presentation, "Who Makes Community Change for Whom? A Case Study of Civic Leadership," shared research findings from his graduate work in the K-State College of Education and departments of curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership.
The Community Development Society furthers community work through teaching, practice and research. The society provides those who do community work with best practices, networking opportunities, tools and other resources. More than 200 participants were at the conference from across the U.S., Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Israel, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
Kahl coordinates outreach and extension efforts through the university's Center for Engagement and Community Development.
