Fall issue of Seek magazine highlights K-State research
How does K-State research affect your daily life? What kind of improvements are researchers making on roads, bridges and other infrastructure? How is K-State research helping to feed the world? What is the university doing to improve communities across Kansas?
Learn the answers to these questions and more in the fall 2023 issue of Kansas State University's flagship research magazine, Seek. The award-winning magazine highlights university research, scholarly and creative activity, and discovery through a print publication as well as the website k-state.edu/seek.
The fall issue includes four feature stories:
- "Everyday science" describes how K-State research impacts our daily lives.
- "Improving the framework" focuses on how researchers are using new infrastructure investments to improve transportation and more.
- "Transformation across the globe" highlights how K-State research feeds the world.
- "A statewide movement" details how the K-State 105 initiative is helping counties across Kansas.
The issue also includes recent early career award-winning researchers, one of K-State's distinguished professors, a graduate student who is using studies in leadership to make change, an undergraduate student exploring the effects of gravity and cosmic radiation and a new partnership that is creating opportunities for farmers.
Seek is published twice per year and is a collaboration among the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Division of Communications and Marketing and other university communicators. The magazine received a gold 2021 Circle of Excellence award, which is a prestigious international award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE. The magazine also was recognized with several recent Best of CASE awards and was named a finalist in the prestigious Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards.
