Amy Button Renz elected to CASE board of trustees
Amy Button Renz, president and CEO of the K-State Alumni Association, was elected to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, board of trustees at the 2013 CASE Summit for Leaders in Advancement in San Francisco, Calif., in July.
Renz will represent CASE District VI on the 30-member board, which sets policies, approves the annual budget and ensures sound management of the organization.
A longtime CASE volunteer, Renz served on the CASE board of trustees from 1996 to 1999 and was a member of the CASE Commission on Alumni Relations. Renz is a recipient of a CASE District VI Distinguished Service Award. She has been active in the Council of Alumni Association Executives and served as that organization's president from 2001-2002. She is a 1976 K-State political science graduate and earned her master’s in public administration from K-State in 1986.
"Amy’s appointment to the CASE board of trustees is a testament to her effectiveness as a leader and her commitment to higher education," said Aaron Otto, chair of the K-State Alumni Association board of directors. "We are pleased that she was elected to the CASE board of trustees and will represent all members of CASE District VI."
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.
Founded in 1974, CASE is one of the world's largest non-profit educational associations. CASE works with more than 70,000 professionals from its member institutions, including 3,600 colleges and institutions. There are more than 17,0000 members of CASE.
CASE provides relevant research and support to enable its members to foster strong relationships with alumni, donors, prospective students, parents, government officials, community leaders, corporate executives, foundation officers and other external constituencies.
CASE offers advancement products and services, provides standards and an ethical framework for the profession and works with other organizations to respond to public issues of concern while promoting the importance of education worldwide.
